When Jesus died and then came alive on Easter, He knew that He would soon go home to His Father. Before He returned home, Jesus said to Peter and to all his friends in faith then and ever since, "If you love Me, then feed and care for my sheep."

We know what Jesus wants us to do, but sometimes we just don't feel like doing it. John encourages us for Jesus' sake to love in the same way Jesus loves us, by planning what needs to be done, and then doing what we have planned to do for Him. It works like nothing else in this world does!
