"Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him?"
Peter's question to our Lord could easily be the question we wrestle with. The whole idea of a gracious forgiveness - forgiving without any reward - is difficult for us; we generally want revenge. But as Jesus instructs us, we cannot count or keep track of how many times to forgive; forgiveness does not stop with numbers. It is a way of life, mixed with love and mercy. It is to live in relationship with others as God would have us be in relationship with Him. Forgiveness, His free gift to us by His grace.
