What is so wonderful about our Gospel story this morning is it shows how God uses the ordinary for His purposes. Why did God chose Mary as the mother of the Christ? Maybe there are two reasons to consider – first, maybe because Mary was ordinary. God was not about trying to impress the rich and powerful. second, maybe just because of what Mary represented. She was a humble, servant of God, without any pretension.
